Police are hoping video from an apartment building lobby will help them catch the thug who robbed an elderly woman near Pelham Parkway.

Wearing a pink bubble jacket and holding books, the woman in question does not look like a thug looking to beat and rob and old lady. However that’s what cops said happened. A surveillance video at 2260 Barker Avenue captures the suspect waiting for an elevator in the lobby of the building. At around 1:40 p.m. on January 2, the robber followed an 85-year-old woman to her apartment and then pushed her way inside. The suspect believed to be in her 30s or 40s then made off with cash she stole from the apartment.
