Cops are hunting for the gunman who shot a man inside a Mott Haven Chinese food restaurant in broad daylight.
At around 1:10 p.m. on Monday, the suspect entered New Wok Chinese Restaurant at 481 Brook Avenue and opened fire from the doorway. The hail of bullets found their mark striking a 33-year-old Hispanic male multiple times. Police released a surveillance video of the gun wielding suspect on the street right after the shooting. The victim was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he is currently in stable condition.
The shooting occurred inside the restaurant in broad daylight on a street filled with similar takeout restaurants.
Investigators said the gunman is a man in his 20s with a large build and a beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing dark pants, dark sweatshirt with white sneakers and a dark cap. No word on the motive for the shooting inside the local restaurant.
